December 6, 1945 ~ June 26, 2021

Mary E Maedgen Hill, 75, was born on December 6, 1945, in Mathis, Texas. She passed away on June 26, 2021 in The Woodlands, TX.

Mary was vibrant with energy and overflowing with ideas. She liked bright and sparkly clothes which reflected her wonderfully unique personality. She made Houston her home after growing up in the tiny town of Mathis, Texas.  Her smile was beautiful and contagious.  It was a window into the joyful, creative, and loving person inside.  Mary survived polio, a real estate crash, and the devastating deaths of many of those closest to her.  While those were incredibly tough, she was resilient and those opened her soul to sharing even more with those she loved.  When you went shopping with her, she was shopping a little for herself and more for you!  She was passionate about her rescued dogs and loved them beyond measure.  Mary poured herself into others’ lives while forgetting to take care of herself.  She was active and always ready to go on an adventure or travel.  I hope that God is ready for her to explore ALL of heaven and to stop in for some long conversations!

Mary was preceded in death by her parents Clarence A. Maedgen, Jr, and wife Elizabeth, brother Jim Maedgen, grandson Alex McCaleb, nephew Gary Guinn and her first husband James Hill Sr.

She is survived by her loving husband Kevin Wyble, brother Clarence A. Maedgen III and wife Tee, brother David Maedgen and wife Heather;  Stepsons James Hill Jr. and wife Stephanie, John Hill and wife Joanne, Jacob Wyble and partner Drew and Weston Wyble; Stepdaughters Janet Ciabattari and husband Val, Judy Puryear and husband Paul; Grandchildren Madeline and Emma Hill, Lore Naficy, Lyndsey Ciabattari, Joy Slider, Joe Caballero, Julie Caballero, Jeannie Caballero, Dwayne McCaleb, Nieces and nephews Colleen Collins, and Calvin, Quinn and Kendall Maedgen.

Viewing will be held from 11am to 12pm Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at Celebration of Life 6565 Research Forest Dr. The Woodlands, TX 77381.

Service will begin 12pm Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at Celebration of Life 6565 Research Forest Dr. The Woodlands, TX 77381.

Ethel "Grandma" was a very cherished lady loved by so many.  She had a great love for Jesus Christ our Lord and savior.  She really never knew a stranger. She always welcomed you in her home and if you needed to stay awhile, she always made room. She provided food and shelter for as long as you needed.  She worked up until she reached retirement age.  She enjoyed parties and spending time with family and friends.  She enjoyed spending time with her childhood friend Cinda going to different places. She was a wonderful grandmother and friend to all and will truly be missed.
