Victoria Ashley Yates

From the moment she entered this world, Victoria Ashley Yates—known to all who loved her as Tori —captivated everyone with her big brown eyes and bouncy curls. Born on October 2, 1997, to Steven Cody Yates and Teresa Stout, she brought joy, light, and a little bit of playful mischief everywhere she went. Though her life on this earth ended far too soon on November 12, 2025, Tori’s impact on the hearts of those who knew her will remain forever.

Tori was blessed with a large and loving family, including her bonus father, Jimmy, who cherished her deeply. She was the big bossy sister to Jimmy “Trey” Stout, Brandon Stout, and Johnathon Stout. But the greatest blessings of her life—the ones who made her proudest of all—were her three beautiful children: Hagen, Haislee, and Karter.

Her radiant smile and unmistakable silly laugh will be missed more than words can say. Tori had a free spirit and a wandering soul. She loved being goofy with friends, spending carefree days on the lake, and making summertime memories in Huntsville with her cousins. She lived life in her own way—full of spark, stubbornness, and heart—and she leaves behind a void impossible to fill. Those who loved her will forever wonder what more they could have done.

Though we could not save her here, we hold tightly to the assurance that she is safe in heaven today—free from the struggles of this world. We take comfort in knowing she ran straight into the arms of Jesus, where every tear was wiped away and she now beholds a glory beyond our understanding.

Services for Tori will be held Friday, November 21st, at 11 a.m. at The Little Country Church, 22152 Baptist Encampment Road, New Caney, TX 77357, with her pastor, Jerry Hovater, officiating. Graveside service will follow on Saturday, November 22nd, at 10 a.m. in the Yates family plot at McAdams Cemetery in Huntsville, Texas .

Tori is survived by her cherished children; her parents; and her loving grandparents: Steve and BJ Yates, Hudson Wise, Barbara and Johnnie Coleman, Edward Hopson and wife Kim, and Debra Olson and husband Pete. She will also be deeply missed by her aunts, uncles, cousins, and many special friends whose lives she touched.

She is preceded in death by her beloved bonus father, Jimmy Stout; her grandmother, Laurie Wise; and her dear great-grandmother, Mary Etta Yates.

Tori’s memory will live on in the laughter of her children, the stories shared by those who loved her, and the love she leaves behind.

Pallbearers will be Joe Tyler, Jimmy Stout, Clay Coleman, Corey Harcrow, Bryan Brady, and Brandon Perry. Honorary pallbearers are Brandon Stout, Johnathon Stout, Rodney Coleman Jr., Christopher Coleman, Hagen Kirchner, and Cameron Harcrow.
