Thomas Eugene Winn

Thomas E. Winn, age 80, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2025, in Willis, Texas, at home surrounded by family. Born on June 28, 1945, in Streator, Illinois, Thomas was the son of Harold and Dorothy (Tuttle) Winn. He grew up in Illinois and graduated from Woodland High School in Streator. Following his education, he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for four years, achieving the rank of Sergeant while stationed at Seward Air Force Base, TN. On April 8, 1967, Thomas married Junitta (Bellis), beginning a devoted marriage that spanned 58 years. Together they built a life rooted in love and family.

Thomas dedicated forty years of his professional life to Owens Illinois Glass, where he worked with diligence and pride. After retiring, he and Junitta relocated to Texas to enjoy their later years together. He had a deep appreciation for classic cars and found joy in traveling and visiting casinos. Above all else, Thomas cherished time spent with his family. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Junitta; sons Thomas (Tom) and Beth of Illinois, Joseph (Joe) and Julie of Arizona; daughter Tammy and Chris of Texas; grandsons Joey, Ben, Eric, Noah, and Max; granddaughters Moira, Katelynn, and Karrissa; ten great-grandchildren; brothers Harold and Willie; sister Anna; as well as many nieces and nephews. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Dorothy; brothers Russ, Doug, Dave, and Bob; and sisters Wilma (Whelan) and Mary (Dittmer). Services will be held at a later date. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
