He is preceded in death by his parents, Khurshid Alam Barkat and Lajwanti Alam Barkat. He is survived by his wife of 39.5 years of marriage, Adelaide Creado Alam. Sons; Solomon N. Alam II and Jeremiah A Alam. Daughter, Jennifer Alam. Brother, John A. Alam. Sister, Elizabeth S. Alam. Three grandchildren, Dominick R. Johnson, Josiah A. Alam and Jonathan A. Alam. Private Service will be held by his family.
