Sharon Louise Marek (née Hudspeth) died April 24, 2018 after complications from a heart procedure. She was 71.

Sharon was born on March 6, 1947 in Houston, TX. She graduated from Baytown Robert E. Lee High School and attended Lee College afterwards.  Sharon retired from Humble Independent School District after over 30 years working in technical services.

Sharon had a passion for cooking and expressed her love by providing your favorite dish.  Although she loved sharing her cooking talents, she enjoyed the company of friends and family with frequent visits to her favorite Mexican food restaurants. When it came to crafts, Sharon was a natural.  Throughout her life, her home would be filled with many handmade items.  She is remembered by spending hours in the garden or sewing her next project.  She also had a talent for crocheting, painting, and many other activities that expressed her creativity. Sharon loved watching sports, soap operas and dramatic medical, police, or law shows. She enjoyed discussing the latest football season with her son and other fellow Dallas Cowboy fans. Sharon was a loyal friend to those who were blessed to have her trust and loved by anyone who knew her.  She was a loving Wife, Mother, Sister, Daughter, Aunt and Friend that will be dearly missed.

Sharon is survived by her son Dale Marek and wife April; partner Toby Hill and his son Joe; brother Darrell Hudspeth and wife Judy; her niece Kimberly Adkins and husband Norman; nephews Richard Davis, and Derek Hudspeth and wife Celena. She is preceded in death by her parents Claude and Louise Hudspeth of La Grange, TX.

A memorial service will be conducted at Rios Funeral home in New Caney, Texas on Sunday June 3, 2018 at 1pm. Burial to be performed at a later date.
