Sharon Katherine George

Sharon Katherine George (78) was born on July 22, 1947, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and passed away on April 15, 2026, in Porter, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, John R. George of 18 years; her parents, Robert Orne and Delores Bitterman; and her siblings, Gary Orne and Barbara Sanders.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and guiding presence in our lives, who left us far too soon.

She was a woman full of life, known for her love of simple joys—whether it was the thrill of a casino trip, the excitement of a scratch-off ticket, or the happiness she found in being surrounded by her family. She had a very persistent way of staying connected to those she loved—frequent calls, check-ins, and follow-ups that made sure she always knew exactly what her children and grandchildren were doing, where they were, and what the plan was next. While it may have driven us a little crazy at times, it was her way of loving—constant, watchful, and unwavering—and something we will miss more than we can say.

She had a gift for making life feel special. Birthdays and holidays were never just dates on a calendar; they were opportunities for her to pour her creativity and heart into making memories that will last forever. Her thoughtful ideas and personal touches brought joy to everyone around her, and those traditions will live on through the family she cherished so deeply.

Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life. She adored each and every one of them beyond measure, taking immense pride in who they were and celebrating every milestone, big or small. Her love for them was constant and unconditional, and they will forever carry a piece of her heart with them.

Sharon is survived by her son, John R. Blair; daughters, Mikki Youll and spouse Brian, and Jami Cruz and spouse Gabriel; her brother, George Orne; sisters, Nancy McIntyre and Betty Orne; eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will continue to carry her memory in their hearts.

She will be missed beyond words, remembered in every shared laugh, every family gathering, and every moment that reminds us of the warmth she brought into our lives.

Her memory will forever be a blessing.
