Ronald Wayne Lockler (Ronnie) was born November 5, 1956, to Lois (Parker) Lockler and Bob Lockler in Houston, TX and passed away on August 23, 2024 in his home in Spring, TX. Ronnie graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1975. Ronnie had many passions throughout his life: Astros baseball, Rockets basketball, photography, skateboarding, water skiing, fishing, camping, surfing, woodworking and of course his music and his baby back ribs. He would talk at length about his fishing adventures at Kenedy with his best friend Jimmy Griggers. He was very athletic and his lifelong love for baseball and the Astros evolved from him pitching in baseball from Little League up through High School. Stories of his wicked curve ball still linger in the air. He had a passion for music and played the guitar and sang with his friends in a band from garage jam sessions to small venues. His voice was deep and melodious. He loved hanging out with family and friends at get togethers making his delicious baby back ribs and laughing and playing music in the back yard. He was an accomplished photographer and would carry around a camera everywhere to capture the good memories. He told stories of going to Austin with friends and family to water ski in Lake Travis. He would spend hours in his workshop creating beautiful things from pens to furniture. He worked as an AC/Heating wholesale dealer. Ronnie is survived by his wife Brenda, his father Bob Lockler, his Brother Kevin Lockler (wife Jonel), his Sister-in-law Gay Lockler and several Nieces and Nephews. He is preceded in death by his Mother Lois Lockler and Brother Darold Lockler.
