Oscar Rey Baldobino

Oscar Rey Baldobino, 54, of College Station, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Oscar was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, loyal friend, and cherished family man whose presence brought warmth, laughter, and comfort to everyone he met. He never met a stranger and possessed a remarkable gift for making others feel welcomed, valued, and loved. His kind heart, generous spirit, and genuine smile left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Family was the center of Oscar’s life and his greatest source of joy. He treasured every moment spent with his loved ones, whether gathered around a backyard barbecue, celebrating special occasions, or simply enjoying each other’s company. He took great pride in creating memories that will be treasured for generations.

A passionate sports fan, Oscar faithfully supported the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers. He loved cheering on his favorite teams and sharing those experiences with family and friends. His enthusiasm, sense of humor, and love for life made every gathering brighter and more memorable.

One of Oscar’s greatest blessings was becoming a grandfather. He adored spending time with his beloved grandchildren, Arianeli and Noah Baldobino, who brought immeasurable joy to his life. Whether sharing stories, laughter, family traditions, or quiet moments together, the bond they shared was evident to all. He was also eagerly anticipating the arrival of another grandchild, Baby A, due in July, a blessing he spoke of with great excitement and love.

Oscar was preceded in death by his parents, Jacinto S. Baldobino and Mary C. Baldobino; his beloved niece, Samantha “Kay” Valadez; and his sister-in-law, Loretta Martinez.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Jennifer Baldobino; his sons, Rey Baldobino and Jey Baldobino (Alex); his daughter, Leyla Baldobino; his cherished grandchildren, Arianeli and Noah Baldobino; and his soon-to-arrive grandchild, Baby A. He also leaves behind numerous extended family members, dear friends, and all whose lives were touched by his kindness, generosity, and unwavering love.

Though our hearts are broken by his passing, we find comfort in the countless memories he leaves behind and the legacy of love, friendship, laughter, and compassion that will continue to live on through those who knew him. Oscar will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
