Humble, Texas

It is with deep love and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mario Jose Guerrero, age 48, on August 14, 2026, in Cancun, Mexico.

Mario was born in Nicaragua on April 7, 1978, and lived a life defined by kindness, laughter, determination, and unwavering dedication to his family. He was a devoted husband, cherished father, proud grandfather, beloved son, brother, and treasured friend whose generous spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

On June 29, 2019, Mario married the love of his life, Theresa Guerrero. Together, they built a life centered on love, partnership, and countless adventures. One of Mario's greatest joys was spending time with Theresa, whether traveling to new places, sharing quiet moments together, or simply enjoying each other's company. Their bond was built on deep love, friendship, and an unwavering commitment to one another.

Mario had a passion for life and embraced every opportunity to create lasting memories. He enjoyed fitness, grilling, building and creating projects with his hands, traveling, and taking long motorcycle rides. He found happiness in staying active, tackling new challenges, and bringing people together. Above all else, he treasured the time he spent with his family and especially the endless hours shared with his beloved wife.

Mario was also deeply dedicated to his profession and took tremendous pride in his work. He devoted 28 years to Hiland Dairy, building an admirable career through hard work, leadership, and perseverance. Beginning as a Merchandiser, Mario steadily advanced through the organization, serving as a Route Driver, Route Supervisor, Lead Supervisor, and Shipping Manager, before recently earning a well-deserved promotion to Distribution Manager. Throughout his career, he earned the respect of colleagues and employees alike through his integrity, strong work ethic, mentorship, and commitment to excellence.

Mario will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Theresa Guerrero; his son, Mario Guerrero III ("Tito"); his daughters, Samara Guerrero and partner Obinna, Kayla Guerrero, Christina Vargas and husband Rick, and Gabriella Henriquez and husband Victor. He is also survived by his parents, Mario Guerrero Sr. and Mercedes Guerrero; his sisters, Anna Guerrero and husband Roger, Renee Guerrero and partner John, and Blanca Peyrani and husband Armando Jr.; his beloved grandchildren, Michael, Elayna, Mateo, and Leo; the mother of his children, Lori Garcia; and his grandmother, Blanca Balmaceda.

Mario's legacy is one of love, strength, generosity, hard work, and loyalty. He taught those around him the importance of family, perseverance, and finding joy in life's simple moments. Though his passing leaves an immeasurable void, the memories he created, the lives he touched, and the love he shared will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Forever loved, forever remembered, and forever in our hearts.
