Marilyn Kay Blackerby

Marilyn Kay Blackerby, 80, was born on December 28, 1941 in Findlay, Ohio. She went home to see the Lord on Friday May 27, 2022, in her New Caney home surrounded by her loved ones. She is preceded in death by her parents Rev. Cloid & Betty Rayle, sister Jacqueline Morse, great grandchild MaKenna DeVore and brothers-in-law; Ricky Titus, John Morse, Moffett Jaynes, and Phillip Baker. Marilyn and her husband Ronnie pastored their first church together in Floydada, TX in 1985 with the Pentecostal Church of God Organization. They pastored a few churches in Texas before moving to New Mexico to pursue their calling to serve God in Indian Missions. She and Ronnie eventually settled in New Caney, TX where they pastored their final church in Cleveland, TX before retiring from the ministry and joining Souls Harbor Church. They worked side by side as barbers at the 494 Barber Shop which they owned for several years.

Marilyn is survived by her loving husband Ronald Jay Blackerby. Sons; Dennis Winchell & wife Corina, and David Winchell. Daughters; Debra Straker & fiancé Ronnie Ramirez, Dawn Vanden Hul & husband Eric, and Eugenia McFarland. Brother David Rayle & wife Sandra. Sisters; Janet Jaynes, Beth Watson & husband Virgil, and Claudia Eden & husband Richard. Grandchildren; Crystal Simmons, Kristy Graham & husband Shane, Brittany Delongchamp & husband Ryan, Courtney Cone & husband Josh, Cameron Winchell, Ashley Roberts, Amanda Houy & husband Travis, Ryan Vanden Hul & wife Gabrielle, Zach Winchell, Caleb Straker, Lainey Straker, Michael Tyler McFarland, and Kaylin McFarland. Eleven great grandchildren, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
