Louise W. Moore

Louise W. Moore (91) born June 21, 1934, in San Diego, California

Louise passed away on March 22, 2026, in Splendora, Texas. She is preceded by her husband, James Moore, parents Alfred Holroyd & Jean Seasons, sister Dorothy Lindsay, grandson Jerry Stephenson, and daughter Terry Tapp.

Louise is survived by her daughters Chris, Ginger (husband Alan), Carmen, and son Ralph (wife Patti).

She is also survived by eleven grandchildren: Matt (wife Joyce), Jason (wife Jenni), Anna (husband Seth), Mary (husband Toby), Jolene, Joe, Brenda, Justin, Caroline (husband Wil), Nathan and Lindsey (husband William). She also has Twenty-One GREAT grandchildren and six GREAT, GREAT grandchildren, a niece Judi, and nephew Mike.

Louise grew up in the San Diego area and eventually left the area and traveled the United States as a military wife. As the family grew, she traveled the roads with all in tow from coast to coast. Mainly living in Connecticut, California, or Arkansas. She crossed through all the states in the continental U.S. What an experience! She landed in Texas after her parents passed and lived near most of her children.

She was faithful to our LORD and at the time of death was the oldest living “active” member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Cleveland, Texas. She was active in her church and in Weight Watchers for many, many years... She was still driving herself and did her own grocery shopping and errands. Until the last couple of years, she was maintaining her own yard mowing, weed eating, etc. She loved her independence. Family was everything to her, and she loved her WW and church family too. They were all very special to her.

Louise spent many years involved with raising German Shepherd dogs, and then later Shelties. Many years apart of course. She always loved dogs and horses and took in any stray animal needing help. She loved animals.

She did not know a stranger and talked with everyone no matter where she was. Louise loved to make everyone laugh, and there is always a good story each time she gathered with family or friends. She has loved to read books from a very young age and still made weekly trips to the library to turn them in and get at least three more three-inch books to read. She read her scriptures every morning without fail. She also enjoyed coloring in adult coloring books and played Sudoku on a regular basis.

Spending time with her family was always something she loved. Every family and/or friends gathering was very important to her and to all of the family.
