Jerry Lynn, Sr. was insturmental in my life as a young man in the grocery business. His positive, encouraging support and sense of humor, smile and determination taught me the value of hard work and being a good person. It's because of him and other men like him that I've been able to pass the same values on to next generations. The world has lost a good man and he will be missed. May God bless him in heaven and his family as they mourn their loss.

Jerry Lynn Sr. was a good friend of mine in Jefferson, Texas. We were great pals and spent much time together in Jefferson elementary school where my mom was a school teacher. Jerry and I were in the same class when in 1956 my mom got a teaching position in Tyler, so we moved. It was not easy leaving good friends and then in 2020 Jerry and I ran across each other on facebook. I was planning a trip down to see him. I am sorry that will not occur. I will always remember him as a gentleman.

Best Regards to Jayne and family,

Billy McKnight
