James Michael Oberer

James Michael Oberer, 82, of Humble, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on June 29th. He was born in Batavia, N.Y. to Francis J. & Ellen M. (Showler) Oberer on December 27, 1943. He was a 1962 graduate of Byron-Bergen High School in Bergen, NY. He married the love of his life Nancy Daza, in Fulton, N.Y. on December 22, 1995.

James worked for Owens-Illinois in New York before moving to Texas and retiring from his glass bottle-making 40+ year career at Longhorn Glass Corp. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Francis E. Oberer and Robert Oberer.

James is survived by his loving wife, Nancy, of thirty years of marriage, his daughters Laurie (Paul) Kimble Debbie Aboulfath, and Jamie Inglis, six grandchildren Adam Aboulfath, Jessica Dixon, Ryan (Alexandria) Kimble, Christopher Stillson, Sean (Makayla) Kimble, and Rachel Kimble. James is also survived by six great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Celebration of Life for James will be held later this Summer. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the charity of your choice.
