Irene Anders Alley

Irene Alley, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away at the age of 93 on December 16, 2020 in Galveston, Texas.  Irene was born on January 25, 1927 to Joseph and Adela Anders in Schulenburg, Texas.  After she retired from her job at Trunkline Gas Company, she worked as a caregiver for many years.  She enjoyed reading and visiting with family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son David Mark Alley, one sister, Dorothy Lyssyj and two brothers, Paul Anders and Joseph Oscar Anders.  She is survived by her daughter Linda Alley and husband Christopher Thomas; grandchildren Rachel Thomas and husband Jeremy Howard, and Craig Thomas and wife Alexandra Ward; great grandchildren Claire and Adela; brother Gus Anders and wife Doris; sisters Lorene Narendorf, Mary Berger, Emma Tupa and Anita Peters and numerous nieces and nephews. Private service will be held by the family.
