Harry Allan Kringen, 76, of Houston, Texas, died on July 8, 2026. His wife, Linda Lane Kringen, 80, died the same day under hospice care.

Harry, the seventh of nine children born to Gilbert and Myrtle (Bokker) Kringen, was born June 2, 1950, in Dell Rapids, SD. He grew up on the family farm in rural South Dakota, went to country school before attending high school in Dell Rapids.

Growing up on the farm, Harry was active in 4-H and enjoyed many family activities, especially participating in horse shows with his brothers and sisters. At one time he was hired as a jockey to ride in horse races.

Harry was an entertainer who never seemed to meet a stranger. He held many different jobs, one of them being a dance instructor. It was while teaching dance that he met his present wife, Linda Lane Weaver. They married on February 14, 1987.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents, brother Grant Kringen, sister Eleanor and brother-in-law Martin Morse, sister Karen Bufkin and her son Emmitt III, a niece Brenda Kringen, and stepdaughter Regina Purcell. He is survived by his son Christopher (Betsy) Kringen and their children Jacob (Anna and son Luca), Fergus Falls, MN, Madelyn and Joshua, Sioux Falls, SD. Stepdaughters Brenda Stalsby and Karen (Michael) Jacobson and stepson Kenneth Weaver plus many step grandchildren.

He is also survived by his siblings: Ben (Elaine) Kringen, sister-in-law Sharon Kringen, brother-in-law Emmitt Bufkin II, Marie (LeRoy) Koopman, Ada (Larry) Jorgenson, Rose (Roger) Lance, and Lynne (David) Antoine. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, his Kringen and Bokker cousins, and other extended relatives and his many, many friends.


Linda Kay Kringen (80) was born on September 12, 1945 in Houston, Texas and passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on July 8, 2026, in Kingwood, Texas. She is preceded by her husband of 49 years of marriage, Harry Kringen, daughter Regina Purcell, parents Willie L. Lane & Clara Lee Stephenson and sister Betty Nunley.

Linda is survived by her son Kenneth (Bubba) Weaver, daughters Brenda Stalsby, Karen Jacobson, brother David Schomer, sister Cindy Saur, fourteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
