Gerald Lee Barosh

December 18, 1945 — August 5, 2024

New Waverly, Texas

Gerald Lee Barosh was born on December 18, 1945, in Cameron, Texas and passed away at the age of 78 on August 5, 2024, in Conroe, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents Marvin A. Barosh & Cecilia M. Dixon.

Gerald is survived by his wife Ann Barosh of 58 years of marriage, his daughter Stephanie Cooper, brothers Kenneth Barosh (wife Carolyn) & Carl Barosh (wife Charlotte), grandchildren Chase Cooper (wife Lauren) and Tristan Cooper (wife Cayla), great grandchildren Hunter Cooper, Harper Cooper, Corley Cooper and Lane Hamilton.

Gerald had many talents. He could build anything out of metal and wood. He was an antique car enthusiast and rebuilt a 1947 Chevrolet from the ground up and won many trophies. He built many car parts and accessories out of stainless steel for his friends and family. He built an amazing small western town out of wood using no patterns. Each building had the smallest detail based off the series Gunsmoke. He built our house in Conroe in 1979 including a very large barn with workroom and tack room. When we moved to Huntsville in 2006, he rebuilt his garage there to his specifications, and he built yet another 'show barn' with every amenity a spoiled horse could ask for. He could fix just about anything. He worked hard at work, and he worked hard at home. Above all, he loved his family and would do anything for them. He will be missed by many. A small private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
