Garland Wayne Holder

Garland Wayne Holder, 84, was born on July 17, 1941, in Durant, Oklahoma and passed away peacefully on March 2, 2026, in his home in Splendora, Texas

Garland was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jane Elaine Holder; his son, Garland Shane Holder; his parents, Ellie Fare Holder and Fernia Evangeline Coffey; his brothers, Kenneth Leroy Holder, Rady Gayland Holder; and his sister, Daisy Cannon.

He leaves behind a family who will forever cherish his memory: his daughter, Tracy Rachelle Burns; his sister, Susan Sherman; and his grandchildren, Ashley Rachelle Hvamstad and husband Kolby Hvamstad, Hunter Allen Burns, and Chaz O’Shields.

Garland was also great-grandfather to Gracie O’Shields, Charlie O’Shields, McKinley Hvamstad, Kaylor Hvamstad, and Kutter Hvamstad.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
