Ethel Marie Johnson "Grandma" went to be with the Lord on Friday June 25th 2021.
She was born June 19th 1935 in Iola, Texas daughter to Arden and Elizabeth Jones.
Ethel was preceded in death by her husband Wilse, son Jerry, and siblings Cecil, Marcie, and Donald.

She is survived by Grandchildren Melissa and husband Eddie, Jeremy and wife Ana, Clint, and Arden.  Great Grandchildren Phoebe, Viola, Raiden, Jocelin, Constance, and Dustin.  Various nieces and nephews.

Ethel "Grandma" was a very cherished lady loved by so many.  She had a great love for Jesus Christ our Lord and savior.  She really never knew a stranger. She always welcomed you in her home and if you needed to stay awhile, she always made room. She provided food and shelter for as long as you needed.  She worked up until she reached retirement age.  She enjoyed parties and spending time with family and friends.  She enjoyed spending time with her childhood friend Cinda going to different places. Her love for the lord was so big, she even had the opportunity to see one of her inspirational speakers Joyce Meyers with granddaughter Melissa. She was a wonderful grandmother and friend to all and will truly be missed.

Her viewing & Funeral will be from 8:30am with service beginning 9am on Friday July 9, 2021 in the Rios Funeral Directors Chapel 21036 Loop 494, New Caney, TX 77357.

Committal service will be held 1pm on Friday July 9, 2021 at Hagan Cemetery in Crockett, TX.

She was a wonderful lady. I enjoyed every time she came to my house or when I would pick her up and we would go to the grocery store. God took a wonderful angel home. She was the rock of her family and I know they all will miss her dearly. God be with them all. May y'all have peace in her passing for she is still with y'all everyday.
