Carolyn Ann Cobb Green, lovingly known as “Mo-Green,” was born in 1944 in Clayton, North Carolina, and peacefully entered eternal rest on May 25th, 2025. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, and friend—a true matriarch whose faith and love touched generations. Carolyn moved to Houston, Texas, where she built a beautiful life with her devoted husband, T.J. Green. Together, they raised a strong and loving family. She was the proud mother of Terry Green, Allen Green, Jimmy Green, and Rebekah Bardwell, all of whom carry her legacy of love and strength. Deeply devoted to her church, Carolyn was a shining example of Christian womanhood. Whether attending Sunday school, participating in church events, or simply lending a listening ear, her grace and faith was a true inspiration to many. She had a special gift for friendship—sharing countless sunny north Houston afternoons with sweet tea in hand talking and sharing stories that made everyone feel cherished and loved. Her front yard was always a place of welcome, laughter, and joy.
While reading was one of her personal favorite pastimes she derived her purest joy going shopping, to the movies or her favorite restaurant Luby’s, with family and friends. Carolyn’s greatest pride and joy was her large family. She was a loving “Mo-Green” to her 12 grandchildren—Ryan, Chad, Tabitha, Phillip, Patrick, Jordan, Whitney, Christian, Brandon, Bryan, Emily, and Stone—and to her 16 great-grandchildren—Wyatt, Laney, Emma, Ellie, Elijah, Brayden, Collin, Richard, Kason, Lainey, Colton, Avery, Addison, Brittney, Mia and great-great-grandchildren, Krew and Remington. She is survived by her husband, T.J. Green; her beloved sisters, Joanne Fowler Stella and Renee Ruth; her four children; and every generation of family who will carry her spirit forward. Carolyn lived a life of unwavering faith and unconditional love. Her legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
