It is with deep sadness that we inform family and friends that our father, Aurelio Alonzo, went to be with the Lord on Saturday July 4, 2020 after a difficult battle with Covid-19.  With God’s guidance, he moved from Mexico to the United States at 24 years old.  He was a hard-working, God-fearing man that wanted to establish a better life for his family and for generations to come.
In his 65 years of life, he was able to provide for his family by consistently working to ensure education for each of his children, so that they can follow their dreams.  He will always be remembered for his humor, hard work, and how supportive he was to his family both in the United States and in Mexico.  He left a mark on everyone who crossed his path and he loved spreading the word of God.  He was charismatic and full of stories that brought laughter and encouragement to all.  He will be greatly missed by many and his legacy will live on.
Preceded in death by his parents; Leandro Alonzo and Zantiaga.  Aurelio is survived by Wife of 41 years of marriage, Elvia Alonzo.  Sons; Aurelio Alonzo Jr and spouse Melissa, and Andrew Alonzo.  Daughters; Priscilla C. Alonzo and Suzanne M. Alonzo.  Grandchildren; Natalie Alonzo, Aurelio Leandro Alonzo III and Arthur Eugene Alonzo.

Visitation will be held Thursday July 9, 2020 from 5pm to 8pm at Rios Funeral Chapel. Last viewing 9am Friday July 10, 2020. Funeral procession will be departing at 9:30 am from Rios Funeral Directors.

Graveside Service will be Friday July 10, 2020 at 10am at Brookside Memorial Park 13747 Eastex Freeway Houston, Tx 77039.
