Belisario Mata Covarrubias

Belisario Mata Covarrubias, 69, was born on March 6, 1950 in Tajo Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Luciano and Adela Mata.
 
A gathering of family and friends will take place Wednesday, December 4th, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Christ Our Light Catholic Church, 9677 Hwy 6, in Navasota.  A parish rosary will follow at 7:00 pm.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 am Thursday, December 5th at Christ Our Light Catholic Church with Rev. Elias Lopez as the celebrant.  The rite of committal will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
 
Belisario is preceded in death by his parents; Luciano and Adela Mata, brother; Natalio Mata and wife Maria De La Luz, and brother; Domingo Mata.
 
Belisario Mata is survived by his five children; Tino and Priscilla Mata of Navasota, Belisario Mata Jr. and Kristie Mata of Roans Prairie, Jose Mata of Dallas TX, Edgar Mata of Huntsville TX and Maribel Mata of Huntsville TX, along with numerous grandchildren.
 
Belisario Mata was the 5th child of the family. Siblings were the late Domingo Mata and the late Natalio, Graciela Mata of Las Margaritas of Nuevo Leon Mexico, Frances Asevdo of Arizona, and Santos Mata of Dallas, and Luciana Olguin of Navasota TX.
 
Belisario worked at Interstate for 30 years as a furnace operator. He was a dedicated and hard worker. The love for music was a passion of his. He loved to dance, sing and play the accordion. He was always willing to give what he had; he would go out of his way for others. Boxing and baseball were the sports he loved to watch. Belisario will be remembered for being dressed to the T, and his dance moves, and the way he played the accordion.
 
Pallbearers: Edgar Mata, Belisario Mata Jr, Tino Mata, Jose Mata, Mario Humberto Mata, and Tony Escamilla.

Judy Lynn Laird (Tinsley)

Judy Lynn Laird (Tinsley) was born to Maxine Crabb (Morgan) and Lester Tinsley on August 17, 1958 in Waco, TX.  Although she had two children at a young age, she obtained a degree in accounting by attending several years of night school while working full time.   She had a long career as an HR manager at Empire Truck Lines where she had several close friends and was considered a part of the family.

In 1994, she met the love of her life, Danny.  They were married in Las Vegas, NV on October 3, 1997.  Together they enjoyed making lots of memories with their grandchildren, vacationing, and talking and laughing for hours on their back patio.  She also loved going to the Casino and watching the Houston Texans. She is preceded in death by mother; Maxine Crabb (Morgan), father; Lester Morris, brothers; Layne Tinsley and Keith Tinsley and multiple aunts, uncles and cousins. She is survived by her husband of 22 years; Danny Laird and brother; Ronnie Tinsley, children; Jennifer Ellerbe, Roy Ellerbe and wife September, Alicia Swan and husband Steven, Christine Laird, and Danny Wayne and wife Jean. Grandchildren; Nathan Wagoner, Ethan Wagoner, Addison Ellerbe, Aubrey Richards, Hayden Richards, Austin Swan, Raymond Swan, Brooke Ellingburg, Hailey Buell, Justin Laird, Jacob Laird, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 5pm to 8pm with a service starting at 7pm at Rios Funeral Directors.
